I feel a sharp pain. I freeze up.I feel blood drip down from my back – I've been impaled. The last vision I see is the silhouette passing me by. Everything goes black. I wake up on my bed drenched in sweat. Another bad dream; it's one I've had for too long. It's 3:25 AM and my wife is still sleeping. I get ready for work – I put on my tie and suit and head for the office.I take the usual tram like every other day. It's raining. I arrive at my desk only to find a pink slip – I got laid off work… How my gonna help my wife now? She's been released just recently from the hospital, and I have spent all I have to pay the medical bills. She's beginning to lose yourself – I don't want to lose her too. I head back home, drenched head to toe.I arrive at the apartment to find my wife laying on the floor. I keep forgetting this! She sleepwalks – a side effect of her treatment. I gently wake her up. 'Sweetie, you're out of bed again. Let's pick you up.' I carry her in my arms. She's so cold – cold as ice! She still half awake and responding. I carry her back to bed. I go back to sleep.I wake up again at 8:15 AM and panic – she's gone! I looked down the shattered apartment window to find my wife laying on the cold, wet ground. I rush! She's still breathing! I grab her and wrap my arms around her. I embrace. I feel her move, but I can't see her face. I hear a barely audible chuckle. She thrusts a sharp piece of glass behind me and gets up. I feel a sharp pain. I freeze up. I feel blood drip down from my back. I've been impaled. The last vision I see is a silhouette passing me by. Everything goes black. I wake up on my bed just in sweat. Another bad dream...it's one I've had for too long.
